Hi, I have downloaded the plugin, I am using eclipse 3.1RC and, at least for me, "add exclusion filter(s)" appears permanently disabled. Is this working for anyone? cheers, Hernan Rancati (cesare) |

Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. With many thanks for your participation, Benno Luthiger PS: The results of the survey will be published under http://www.isu.unizh.ch/fuehrung/blprojects/FASD/. We have set up the mailing list fa...@we... for this study. Please see http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/mailinglist_en.html for registration to this mailing list. _______________________________________________________________________ Benno Luthiger Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich 8092 Zurich Mail: benno.luthiger(at)id.ethz.ch _______________________________________________________________________ |

A jdk1.3.1 compatible patch (replacement actually) has been posted named release1.0.8p1 The previous release 1.0.8 is now hidden as it will not work on jdk1.3.1 and requires jdk1.4.1 to work. Sorry for the inconvenience, Frank -----Original Message----- From: Frank Sauer [mailto:sa...@ya...] Sent: Sunday, March 09, 2003 11:24 PM To: met...@li... Subject: new release: 1.0.8 This new release stores the metrics using prevayler, which is very, very cool... I spent some time trying to map things to SQL using hsqldb, but this is so much easier, it's incredible. See http://www.prevayler.org, or on sourceforge, http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/prevayler. This new release also allows you to export metrics to an XML report. That way you can use XSL to further process it to any format you desire. As always, download the metrics plugin at http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/metrics. Enjoy, Frank |

I just released version 1.0.7 of the metrics plugin. This release has not many externally visible changes, but is internally completely reorganized in order to allow extensions to specify metrics. As a result, others can now extend the framework by adding new metric calculators. The preference page shows all discovered metrics and allows the order in which they are shown to be changed. Note that the change in download size is due to the added api docs, not code... Download it at as always at: http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/metrics Enjoy, Frank |
