I've got a couple buggy mid-sized .mkvs. About 1.5 gigs a piece. They are corrupted/broken at a certain key second or two, and that is generally enough to shut down my whole media player. If I skip the segment by just a couple of seconds, however, the problem goes away.
This is the exact type of problem Meteorite usually fixes, right?
Well, when I use Meteorite to try to repair one of these broken files, I get the error "Meteorite Has Stopped Working," and Meteorite closes. After this happens, I have a partially completed Meteorite.File.mkv, but... the partially completed Meteorite.mkv stops EXACTLY where the corruption in the original .mkv caused the hiccups in the first place.
Prior to the program crashing, the progress bar is at a relatively equivalent level that corresponds to the time when the .mkv crashes my media players.
So it seems my corrupted file is too corrupted even for Meteorite =(
p.s. I am the nobody who submitted the above bug, I just decided to register for follow-up purposes.
I am running Windows 7 (as I meant to indicate with my bug title) and I can submit the mkv container for testing.
Don't know what is the problem. If you could send the file to me,I will inspect the file and try to fix at next version.
I am about to start to work on Meteorite again. :)

I prefer netload.in since it's fastest here. But sure, you can download parts from megaupload too.
Please try with new version v0.11. And if you have this bug, please re-open.
I tried 0.11 beta with Win 7 x86 sp1. The app crashes every time I close it. I scanned the exe for viruses and downloaded the zip again .... needs work.
