I haven't actually built the driver for a few years now, and the linux
V4L2 API has undergone some changes in that time.

You would need to get the source code for the current RHEL5 kernel and
see if it compiles with that. If not, you may need to make changes to
the driver source, which might be trivial. I no longer have the
hardware to test if it works or not, so I more than likely won't be
able to test it.
