The second release of Metaphile is now available for download. New features include support for JPEG Comments, linked EXIF directories and EXIF thumbnails.

Metaphile is a Java library for reading JPEG file metadata including JFIF, JFXX, IPTC IIM (V3 and V4), XMP and EXIF (2.1 and 2.2).

Source code is available via CVS and the project homepage (http://www.miniturismo.co.uk/metaphile) has been updated with background information and examples on API usage.

The first release of Metaphile is now available for download. The library is still very much a work in progress, so the Release Notes should be read carefully before use.
