The resource manager must be rewritten it does so many nasty, unclean and even wrong things.
Check e.g. purgeResources, the use of ref counting, stack/heap allocation issues and loadResource. One thing that comes to mind, should we really load multiple instances of the same resource, was this not the point of the rm to avoid this?
