Yes, it's possible. Currently, the named template "printTemp" in the file "metaf-sum.xsl" converts all temperature values to degrees Celsius. It would be easy to change it to convert values to Fahrenheit instead, depending on the value of a parameter, say "unit_temp". A bit more effort would be to add this parameter to the interfaces and pass it to the XSL, like for the language parameter. I'll think about it, and let you know.

I saw! I also immediately copied into my Win10 setup! didn't get it to work so reverted back. I will attemp with more time on a Debian box first. Thanks Phil

if the installation of a previous release worked on your Win10 setup, it should also work for the unstable release. Did you maybe copy only some files from the unstable release over the files from a previous release? This will not work, the unstable release must be installed like a "normal" release. If the issue is something else, just tell me if you want, and please provide a short description of what you did and what exactly did not work.
