The new file upload feature works for me in 4.0b ( ie, file is created in uploads dir ).

However when downloading, I get an Internal server error (500)

the apache error log has this info.

BTW ..I have disabled mod_perl to test run multiple metador instances ..since the new virtual server config doesnt seem to work for us either.

    any ideas?

That's not much details, so not sure what can I tell you.

But, I had a similar problem with one of my installation.

I upload files just fine, but when I download, all it tries to download was index.pl :))))

Anyway, it turned out that my directory configuration wasn't right (but I never understood why I could upload those files though).

I have the same problem. I can upload files fine. They exist in the correct directory however when I download the file, the server sends the index.pl page instead of the file. You seemed to have corrected this issue. What did you change in your configuration?

I am using 4.0b. On 3.1 everything worked fine. I assume the issue relates to the files directory being moved from under the HTTPD doc default directory.

        Thanks in advance.

      Hi,
Recently I noticed a problem when couple of my co-workers reported that when they try to download files, they encounter error.  I came across number of files they have uploaded were giving me error when I'm attempting to download.

Anyway, I increased their Disk Quote to 999999999 (you can try with something more meaningful for you) and had them upload again and this time download is not a problem.
