[Metacoretex-ng::general] new metacoretex version - call for volunteers

HI all,
  this topic has been discussed many times before, but is time to  
start working on it. We will be preparing a new version of  
Metacoretex, and this is a call of volunteers willing to help during  
this process.
The schedule will be as follow:
Phase 1- call for volunteers - Til May
Phase 2- design: we will ask for the wishlist and crazy ideas, then  
think how to implement them - Til June
Phase 3- Hands on: depending on how many volunteers we get, hope to  
have something ready by the end of the summer

So if everything goes smoothly, we will have the beta realease of new  
Metacoretex for September :D

Also, I suggest we can open a contest for a new name and logo for  
Metacore, so ideas are welcome. Finally, if anyone has any idea about  
sponsorship for the project, please tell us. Hope we can help all  
volunteers somehow.

Any other idea or suggestion is very welcome. By now we are  
considering python for the new version.

Hi Peter,
  by now we don´t have any user manual. The problem is that we are  
not working as a community in this project, my fault in not providing  
proper infrastructure.
I will update the page project including the TODO list, and let´s see  
if we can all together contribute to reborn the project.

Hi Juan Pablo,
 Of course your work is very welcome.
The project has been stopped for a long time, partially because the lack
of feedback. However, we expect to publish the last relese in the next
weeks and hope to continue the work the community, as even today there
are not much tools with the functionality metacoretexNg provides.
Please provide your feedback about desired new functionalities,
improvements for next release, convenience of migrating the whole
project to a new programming language such as python, etc.

We are planning to update the website with a howto and a todo list as
soon as possible, so everybody interested can contribute and assure the
continuity of this tool. The main problem all users face is that probes
are not up to date, so we need contributors to keep them ready to work
with latest vulnerabilities and versions of databases.

 el proyecto está disponible en sourceforge en el cvs, así que siguiendo
las instrucciones deberías ser capaz de descargarlo. De todos modos,
estamos trabajando para reestructurar este tema, por lo que si tienes
problemas coméntamelo y te lo paso directamente mientras lo arreglamos.
