MeshLab: V1.1.0 Released!

MeshLab is an open source, portable, and extensible system for the processing and editing of large unstructured 3D triangular meshes. The system is aimed to help the processing of the typical not-so-small soup of triangles that are common in 3D scanning. MeshLab providing a set of tools for editing, cleaning, healing, inspecting, rendering and converting this kind of meshes. Support for output in the compressed U3D format allows also the creation of PDF documents with embedded 3D objects using LaTeX.

MeshLab 1.1.0 introduces many important and appealing new features. The most notable improvements are the possibility of managing multiple meshes on different layers, and the new features for the processing of raw 3D scanning data. ICP alignment and Poisson based merging of multiple range maps is now possible within MeshLab.
