I also found out that the poisson makes some problems sometimes. The
biggest one is that you can use it only onec in a meshlab session. If
you are using on two similar meshes without closing meshlab inbetween
you are getting a different result. I think the problem could be that
some settings or temporary data is not reset in the original Poisson
source code. I tried to look for it but I couldn't find anything.

A detph of 12 is really high for 500.000 points. It may be memory allocation.
what kind of system are u using? 64Bit Win/Linux or Mac?
