I have checked in a small change which now caused the ui dialog to close
as it should.  Also i made the dialog a little bigger so its easier to
use.

I did not work on the non-resizing frame.

No, it is a plain bug :). it happens on my mac too...

It should close. I (or any brave willing developer :) ) should 
investigate on that
And it has a lot other issues...  (like non resizing frame :( )
and a lot of robustness issues.

I will try to patch a bit on the robustness side.
I would like to leave the gui part to someone else :)
(i am not a great gui man)
