the texture atlas seems to be working now - i'm not quite sure how, but
removing the negation of uv coordinates seemed to fix whatever problems i
was having. i've tested it out on about 5 models, seemed to work fine.
next steps:
fix the resampling option that's crashing, so larger models can be
accomodated in the default size of atlas
figure out the normal attribute transfer
would other people please test the atlas?
