anisotropic alignment via command line

Hi all,

I am new to Meshlab and I am trying to use it on a project involving 3D meshes given as .stl files. I need to programmatically (via command line) perform anisotropic alignment of several such .stl files. Do you know if this is something feasible with Meshlab?

I have found this page http://www.andrewhazelden.com/blog/2012/04/automate-your-meshlab-workflow-with-mlx-filter-scripts/ which says that filters can be launched with a mlx script, however alignment is not a filter as far as I understand.
