v1.3.2_64bit installed from the download; windows 7.
I was following the instructions on this blog post,
which was written for an older version, and by adjusting for moved menu items I got as far as step 4. I have a spherical mesh with 327680 faces, and it's colored just like in the picture. I'm pretty sure the mesh has 'VertexColor' property now. I can select Render>Color>PerVertex but not >PerFace.
However, it seems no next step is possible. Select Faces by color/face quality/vertex quality all fail since the property does not exist. "Transfer Color: Vertex to Face" fails since 'Current Mesh does not have VertexColor". "Select Faces by color" fails with the same message.
So I'm not sure exactly what the bug is, but there appears to a roadblock in this process. Either I don't have VertexColor on current mesh (and I don't understand how that's possible) or I do, and these operations are incorrectly failing the precondition. I have attached a partial screen shot which may be helpful.
