#360 x3d failure on NIST DLMF file

Downloading the x3d version of Figure 10.26.3 goes okay but meshlab crashes with
multiple copies of
"Calling appendChild() on a null node does nothing."
and terminates with
"Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing
exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must
reimplement QApplication::notify() and catch all exceptions there."

I could send the file but it's long and you would probably like the original better. I could capture all the output or run strace if it would help.

I really don't think the windows manager is GNOME (it's complicated), I am pretty sure it's LXDE.
