I have my two exported folder's for left and right ear's and now I'm at the stage of running NumCalcManager.py. But Python is using 12gb of ram and the operating system using the rest. I am left with around 1gb ram and its not enough as I need 2.8gb ram Anyway I can make this work
i am now running only 3 instances but is there anything i can do to limit the triangles used? right now i have merged 3 meshs together. 1 face and 2 detailed ear for left and right side. There are 15252702 vertices
15252714 edges
5084240 faces
for each side when i used htrf_mesh_grading is that too many?
Dear Mokh,
we have meshes with approximately 100 000 elements and 50 000 nodes and Mesh2HRTF runs smoothly on a 64 GB machine. Does that help you to estimate the required RAM for your project?
Piotr
Thankyou for your reply. I am using a 16gb ram machine with a i7 7700k do you know how long my simulation would take approx.
Hi Mokh,
large meshes with > 100 000 elemements can take a couple of hours to compute a single high frequency. Reducing the mesh size can be done by mesh grading (attached :)
Best, Fabian
Based on latest comments from the user on YouTube, the simulation is already complete and .sofa files were generated.
