Summary: Compiler's -g used with optimize

Initial Comment:
When I run configure with the "--disable-debug" and
"--enable-optimize" (the defaults) for Mesa 3.5 under
Solaris 7 I noticed that a "-g" gets into the compile
commands.

This may be a problem with other platforms as well.
