The 2D part is OK, you can also play movies with the great Xv extension... 
what I mean is only the 3D with this card is somewhat useless. The only linux 
game that I played with it was Quake III arena, and it was slow and ugly.

Well, open source games are made by gamers, so yes they are done according to 
their recent hardware....
