But still you can disable the sound card in the BIOS and see if Mach64 works 
better. The last time I managed to use it was with a Mandriva 2008 Spring, so 
a 2.6.24 kernel. Then, 3D never worked on more recent systems.

Anyway, the 3D of such a card is so bad, I'd suggest you forgetting using it 
on Linux. Simple example : most of the 3D open-source games use much more 
than 8MB of video RAM.
