All I would to do is plot points in 3 space. I have the points. I'm reading
them in from a file. All I have to do is plot them in 3 space, but I'm not sure
what functions and/or #define's to use. Also I need the program to pick
colors for me so that the points are in different colors. What it's for is plotting
the orbits of planets. Each orbit would be in it's own color. I want to use
OpenGL not IDL. I have x,y,z coordinates so... I don't need much just a black
back ground, 3d plotting, and orbits in color. Thank you for the help.
glBegin ( GL_POINTS ) ;
for ( i = 0 ; i < num_points ; i++ )
glColor3f ( red[i], green[i], blue[i] ) ;
glVertex3f ( x[i], y[i], z[i] ) ;
glEnd () ;
Where you have the arrays red, green, and blue I believe
those are double's... So I have a few questions about
them. How do you pick the numbers? What's the max and
min? Can you use negatives? Does the max value for red
make the red really dark? Really light? Basically, what
happens to the colors when I pick different values?
Thank you for the help.
