Seems I may have jumped to conclusions a bit to fast as I am sure
everyone that replied to me is also sure of.
The reason that I thought I had a performance boost was I had
downloaded the tutorial examples from NeHe and I was running them.
When I ran the one with the triangle and square rotating it was
A few day's later I had to re-download the demos. This time I noticed
they were using SDL libraries so I was like what the heck and I got the
SDL lib's and compiled the porg's
This time it was blazing fast.
My mistake was that the earlier tutorials were not using glut anyway,
they were just using XLib's.
I still don't know where the perfomance boost came from. any ideas
would be greatly appreciated.
Also I don't know how to get the old demo's back, as I would love to
play with the two and try and figure it out.
