I was looking through the installation documentation for Mesa 3D 3.4.2, and I saw that the old-style build is still (nominally) supported. I decided to give it a try, and the 'solaris-x86-gcc' target gave me a working Solaris 7 build. This is with GCC 3.0 20010430 and GNU binutils 2.11. I now think that the compiler is probably not the problem but rather the problem lies in the configure script. (I have compiled several other libraries with this Solaris development environment, and they all work fine.) Either I am using it incorrectly or it is misconfiguring the build. I will try to track it down as time allows, but at least now I can get back to work. :) -Patrick Patrick Hartling <pa...@13...> wrote: } I am trying to upgrade to Mesa 3D 3.4.2 on Solaris 7 (x86), but when I } run 'make check', the first application fails to link. I use the old-style Makefiles everyday. They'll be maintained indefinitely as they often work when configure;make fails. > I decided to give it a try, and the 'solaris-x86-gcc' target gave me a > working Solaris 7 build.
