For the longest time I couldn't figure out how to make newly submitted
bug reports show up on the mesa3d-dev list. I finally got to bottom of
it today. Those of you who run other SourceForge projects might be
interested in this. I'll also be able to search for this info in the
future if I need it again.
Bug reports, feature requests, etc should get attention a little
1. From the project admin page, click on "Tracker Admin" at the bottom
of the page. Choose the tracker (ex: Bugs, Feature Request, etc).
Choose "Update Preferences". Enter the lists's email address in the
first text box (ex: mesa3d-dev@...). Enable "Send email on all
2. This will send email whenever a new tracker record is entered or a
record is changed. HOWEVER, the SourceForge mail system will detect
these messages as spam and send them to the list admin! As it happens,
the list admin address was wrong so I never saw those message.
3. Go to the admin page for your mailing list (ex: mesa3d-dev), enter
your admin password, go to "Privacy Options" and look for the text box
labeled "Alias names (regexps) which qualify as explicit to or cc
destination names for this list". Enter this: noreply@...
That'll prevent the bug reports from being trapped as spam.
