3dfx Glide version 3 doesn't have a grSstQueryHardware function. I gather
this is why the FX_grSstQueryHardware wrappers exist in the src/FX tree.
But it turns out that X/xmesa1.c uses grSstQueryHardware to determine
whether a 3dfx card is really installed, which resulted in linking problems
when trying to run mesa3d apps.
This seems to take care of it:

I know this problem exists in the current mesa_3_2_dev branch, but I don't
know about the status of the other branches.
