If you take a star that's in thermal equilibrium and turn off composition changes due to burning dxdt_nuc_factor = 0 composition changes due to mixing mix_factor = 0 and neutrino losses non_nuc_neu_factor = 0 Then I would expect that your MESA model should be happy to sit forever with dL/dM = eps_nuc and hence Tds/dt = 0.
