I recently gave an informal talk for the participants discussing recent efforts
to make mesa useful in this area of research.  Like other KITP talks, this one

If you are interested in trying mesa for asteroseismology, please let me know.
It has reached the stage of being an interesting candidate, but it still needs
testing by people other than myself.  In particular, we need to have comparisons
with detailed results from other codes on well studied cases.  Things are looking
good so far, but more testing will be required before we can declare it
"science ready" for asteroseismology.
