Hi, Forget multi-mass for now. You need to do a bunch of cases one-at-a-time to get a good feeling for how things go. I suggest you run some of the test_suite cases -- solar, he_core_flash, pre_zahb, hb_2M, and agb would all be good. Make plots as the runs progress. Use pgplot to watch as the star evolves. Then move to a complete run by doing 1M_pre_ms_to_wd -- it will take several hours to finish. Again, you need to make lots of plots as the run progresses. Don't just let it run without checking plots regularly! Compare what you see on your screen to the movies on the website (http://mesa.sourceforge.net/). Once you can duplicate those results, try increasing the initial mass: 1st to 2, then 3, then 4 .... -Bill |
