MerakoGPS version1.2 has been released! This new version outputs more satellite's information to UART ports so that the developers can monitor the GPS receiver's performance more detaily. And this new version is compatible with the new HYX protocol, which is a communication protocol between the receiver and host in MerakoGPS GNSS platform.
We have updated the MerakoGPS project to version 1.1. The changes are as follows:
1. Update FPGA SOF file, and in this new SOF file, there are two main changes:
1) Users can dynamically configure the 5 correlators' distance during acquisition and tracking, such as 1/2 C/A code chip during acquisition and 1/8 C/A code chip during tracking process.
2) UART interface are flexible than before. Users just need to configure the rate divisor in order to let the UART work at a specified baud rate.... read more
MerakoGPS is another excellent and flexible open source platform for GPS development community. The hardware of MerakoGPS mainly consists of a single FPGA or FPGA+ARM, thus the FPGA logic implements correlator function and NiosII soft CPU or ARM CPU can implement acquisition, tracking, and PVT computation.
