Personally, I think it might be good to combine all ideas into one... =
create a package manager that can manipulate all of the existing package =
formats (.tgz, .rpm, .deb, etc. etc.) plus .mpkg (the MentalUNIX package =
format).

It's actually fairly easy to write a package manager, because it's =
basically just different levels of compression.  This can be done with =
zlib so it's portable to any Linux variant.

Just my 1 1/2 cents worth.

Also, before I forget again, I have evidently missed the chats the past =
few weeks.  What was the time they were to be held?
