Hi Sibella, I am sorry to report that ALC is unable to approve our new budget at > this time. Bob you will need to wrap up your paid work, within the > $2000 budget that Ross approved last week. I sort of assumed that this was the way things were shaping up, and it is quite understandable from the ALC end. They have put a lot of support into this project and not got much to look at in return. > I apologise for the inconvenience caused, it is totally outside of my > control. Since the project has become much wider than just for Groote I think it would make sense to ask other people to get behind it too. ALC has already put in their fair share in a sense. Anyway, hopefully there will be money somewhere to keep things going. I have 19 hours to go from our final budget so there should be enough to get the last installer all finished off and to document a bit more of the code. I'm not really sure what is happening with handover any more, but it sounds like we won't be meeting in Darwin so there might be a bit more of a need for documentation at a higher level. Or I could save some hours to talk to Ferdi on the phone and try to lay things out for him. Last week I started working in a warehouse packing shoes, pretty boring but a nice change from a computer screen. I will do the last bit of work for MP over the next few weeks as I find time. Is there anything which needs to happen in a particular timeframe? I can be flexible to make sure it gets done by when we need it. Bob |
