The usefulness of the option in names of whether the name is still in use is being queried by Jay and Sib. Thinking about whether it may really be utilised in real life, and maybe it just adds confusion for inputters.
When you click on an entered name, it takes you to a screen about the name, and there is a generated sentence saying "People still use this name X to talk about XY".
This sentence is uneccessary and stating the obvious really, could you please remove it?
We'll mock up what is impt about the names and may suggest taking out this "still in use" field altogether.

Ok, I've taken out the line that says people still use the name (revision 362), you're right that it is unnecessary. I have left it in for when the name is no longer in use, as I think that is useful info.
Again, this is the balance between what a community would want to input and what a researcher might want to find. Historical names are great for researchers and librarians but perhaps a bit pointless for most people in the community.

Does this bug still need addressing or is it resolved? I am happy with what we have now, but not sure if you think it has been fully dealt with.
