Jay found when installing MP that he couldn't play a video without a firefox plug-in. Because of government i'net restrictions he can't download this. Could you please package this and any other required plug-ins in the installer?
I will try this out later today and see how we go, it is definitely important for 0.1 because installing a plugin is a reasonably demanding task for those without much computer experience.

OK, following on from our discussion I think this issue has been resolved. My understanding is that the movies were in DV format, which was not compatible with the browser plugin. I have done some reading about this and it seems that the DV format is an 'authoring' format rather than a 'delivery' format, that is, it's good for working on a file, but might not be appropriate for dissemination of the file.
The solution to this problem is either to tell people to convert their videos before they put them into the database or to perform this conversion automatically as they are entered in (like TIFFs are currently handled).
Jay or Sibella, can you confirm that my assessment of this bug is correct and set the Status to 'Closed' if you are satisfied.
