Hi Everyone, I find it a lot more convenient to host the development of memcache++ to GitHub [0] and move the discussion of the usage and development of the library to Google Groups [1]. If you can go join the Google Group as well as help out in the development on GitHub that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I'll see you there! Hi Guys! Just an update: I just posted a release of the latest version of memcache++ which is chock full of new things (although not enough to warrant a 1.0 release). What's in the release are: - new fluent interface - support for later boost releases (1.38 and up) - better directory structure Now instead though of including memcache++/memcache.hpp you'd have to include memcachepp/memcache.hpp -- to support platforms where '+' is not allowed as part of the filename. Have a great day everyone and please try out the latest release. BTW, I've decided to go use Git instead of SVN because the SVN hosting at Sourceforge is not very conducive for rapid development. I may have to shut down the Subversion repository unless someone is willing to maintain it by pulling the latest from Git into the SVN repo. If you have questions or feature requests, I plan on implementing them in the next two weeks so that I can release hopefully version 1.0 with incr/decr and append support. Thanks everyone and I hope to hear from your experiences soon! -- Dean Michael Berris blog.cplusplus-soup.com | twitter.com/mikhailberis linkedin.com/in/mikhailberis | facebook.com/dean.berris | deanberris.com |

Hi Dean, I checked the trunk version (which I am now also using for development). Basically the bugs are the same, only the header file to be included changed. I attached a patch to your example which compiles with trunk. Though it's not "mission critical" you might want to know that the documentation header image is missing in trunk, too. Btw, could you point me to some tutorial(s) / docs to correctly set up the "Boost.Build version 2 build system" on my debian machine and get your bjam tests running with it? Hi Moritz! Thanks for the report and patch. Can you try the latest in subversion trunk (http://memcachepp.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/memcachepp/trunk) and see if your problems persist? I'm actually just holding off on releasing 1.0 which fixes a lot of things and makes it compile on Windows. Expect 1.0 to come out anytime soon. Have a good day and I hope this helps! -- Dean Michael Berris Software Engineer, Friendster, Inc. > -----Original Message----- > From: Moritz Maisel [mailto:ma...@si...] > Sent: Wednesday, October 01, 2008 7:10 PM > To: mem...@li... > Subject: [memcachepp-devel] bugs in quickstart-documentation examples > > Hi, > > while getting into memcache++ I stumbled upon two bugs (?) in the > quickstart documentation example ( > "doc/html/memcache__/quickstart.html" ) of the memcachepp-0.9 tarball. > I had to do the attached changes to get the example code compiling ... > > Btw., the image "doc/html/images/memcachepp.png" seems to be > missing. :-) > > I hope this is the right place for my report, please point me to the > correct one if I'm wrong. > > Greetings, > Moritz > -- > sipgate GmbH - Gladbacher Str. 74 - 40219 Düsseldorf > HRB Düsseldorf 39841 - Geschäftsführer: Thilo Salmon, Tim Mois > Steuernummer: 106/5724/7147, Umsatzsteuer-ID: DE219349391 > > www.sipgate.de - www.sipgate.at - www.sipgate.co.uk > |

Hi, while getting into memcache++ I stumbled upon two bugs (?) in the quickstart documentation example ( "doc/html/memcache__/quickstart.html" ) of the memcachepp-0.9 tarball. I had to do the attached changes to get the example code compiling ... Btw., the image "doc/html/images/memcachepp.png" seems to be missing. :-) I hope this is the right place for my report, please point me to the correct one if I'm wrong. Eeep! You're right Ross, the URL is http://memcachepp.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/memcachepp/branch/fluent_in terface :D -- Dean Michael Berris Software Engineer, Friendster, Inc. <dmb...@fr...> +639287291459 > -----Original Message----- > From: Ross MacKinnon > Sent: Wednesday, February 20, 2008 5:52 PM > To: Dean Michael C. Hi Guys, I've been playing around with an alternative to the current interface we have in Memcache++ Client. Here's an example: key(mc, "hello") = 100; int an_int; wrap(an_int) = get(mc, "hello"); The implementation and unit test is now available in http://memcachepp.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/branch/fluent_interface -- this is meant to be a proof of concept which should make it the more preferred interface to use for the Memcache++ Client version 1.
