Note: Not sure if this is specific to ATB or not.

I can choose the name and camo for my enemies in advance, but I'd prefer to also choose the color of my own unit and allies/enemies within the log. Right now, it's largely random.

For example, I'd prefer that if I'm playing as a Marik unit vs. a Steiner unit that I can choose to have my Marik unit name and mech names show up as purple in logs, while the Steiner mechs show up a bright blue. This will make reading through logs at a glance much easier.

This sounds like a request for MegaMek not HQ. You can currently set the color (by seecting the default camo colors) in the MM lobby. A pic would probably make what you are after a little easier since there are several types of logs that MegaMek saves. Error, game, bot...

I agree about this probably being a megamek issue. I think he is talking about the text in the various reports.

This is a MM RFE. Each player has a color associated with them based upon their player #. Basically there's a static array of colors, and your player number indexes into that array, and that's what determines your color. This color then gets used in round reports to color the player's name.

Edit: it's been brought to my attention that you can change your Player color index via the camo dialog, so MM already has a way to change this that MHQ can use, so this is a MHQ RFE.

This can already be done, the same way it is in MM:
Step 1, set your camo to "no-camo" and choose a color.
Step 2, set your camo again.
