If you swap ammo types, i.e. standard SRMs to Infernos or standard AC to Flak, MHQ will save that you want the design to use that type of ammo but will not save the ammo swap if you reload the campaign.
E.g. load a Bulldog, swap the SRM ammo to inferno, go to the refit bay and load the infernos, save and reload the campaign, and the Bulldog will show standard ammo again but will be in the refit bay waiting to swap to inferno ammo.
This worked prior to the disappearing ammo bug fix (if I am reading this right).
Easy 1 liner fix, just forgot to restore the ammo type when I fixed the [#511].
