#4497 Defiance mech image is overwriting the Defiance ASF image

I made a new variant of the Defiance ASF, but for some reason the Defiance mech image is overwriting the ASF image...even though it's the exact same name just with a different model designation. I've attached the .blk.

You have to create a new entry in the localclient_mechset.txt because of the chassis entry for the Defiance mech.

Thanks, that worked. How do i prevent it from being overwritten by new patches though?

You have to keep an extra copy in a different location, and then copy over the original file when you update to a new version. Otherwise, you will have to re-edit the file.

You will need to copy the localclient_mechset.txt from a previous version into the new version. Are you uncompressing new versions over old versions? That is something you should not do.
