No

I don't know if this is a bug or something I just don't know how to do, but I can't find any button or option to detach the SRM packs for IS battle armor such as the Longinus and Phalanx A so that they can jump.

I am using v41.2

Did you try finding the DWP in the system tab of the unit display? I think it might be a mode thing. I can't check right now, but that's how I seem to recall it working.

I looked there. A DWP is not listed as such on the Longinus Laser, Longinus David or Phalanx A. There is a body SRM launcher, and 2 units of ammo (for the Phalanx). I tried using the weapon mode button before and after firing the launcher. The systems tab doesn't let me change the mode or dump the weapon.

If you do get a chance to check it out, let me know how it works and with what units?

The ticket is a misnomer. Neither the Phalanx A or the Longinus have DWP's. He's talking about IS BA with body-mounted missile racks that must be jettisoned for the BA to jump.

    Just did some testing.
First, the Phalanx A has no jump capability.
I could not figure out how to manually eject the SRM2 (OS) from the Longinus [Laser]. Once the SRM is fired however, the unit will automatically jettison the SRM launcher, and the unit CAN jump.

Ah, that makes sense. I was pretty sure DWPs worked, as I can recall testing them when I was working on BA, but it's been a while and I didn't have time to test it yet.

I do recall the missile packs for IS BA working strangely. Basically, it comes down to the ammunition: if the launcher is empty it's considered jettisoned, otherwise it's not.

For ease of implementation, we decided that just firing the SRM at the ground was good enought for jettisoning the SRM. Alternatively, I believe the Dump button works just the same.

As a minor point, the dump button doesn't work for BA units with one-shot missile launchers, since there is no ammo to dump. Can we get a way to jettison these missiles in this case, instead of firing them into a empty hex?

In [r11753] and [r11749] I made it so that for BA, selecting body mounted missile launchers enables the "Dump" button on the System tab. These can now be dumped like DWPs, and the unit will be considered unburdened if they dump the SRM launcher. (It still uses the same unburdened check, which checks for no ammo, so the SRM dumping ends up dumping all of the usable ammo for the selected launcher).
