MegaMek is a networked Java clone of BattleTech, a turn-based sci-fi boardgame for 2+ players. Fight using giant robots, tanks, and/or infantry on a hex-based map.
Development currently occurs on GitHub (see https://github.com/MegaMek). This SF page remains as a mirror and archive of the old issue trackers. The trackers are currently locked and new issues should be created on the GitHub page.

This is a great game and fun to play. Very true to the original board game which I really like. I have looked at the code and though I do not generally program in java, I found this project easy to understand and easy to create patches for. If you want to learn java and have done some small projects but want a larger well-written challenge, this could be it!
