I requested the immediate removal of the account "ingoralfblum" from the SourceForge database. Because this means, that I'm no longer project administrator of the projects "kmoney", "zorannt" and "mediaxw" I suggest that all people who want something administrative done should speak up now. Regards, Ingo |

Hi, some news: 1) I created a graphedit.exe replacement, because the Microsoft one always crashes when you insert a filter, which was not written with the MS C++ base classes. The application will be functional soon. 2) I created some CVS statistics. You can find them here: http://mediaxw.sourceforge.net/cvsstats Unfortunately there is no gnuplot available on the sourceforge server, so I have set up a script to create those images on my box and have them uploaded to the web server. Regards, Ingo |

Hi Lucas, what's the new site design doing. As far as I can see it is still sitting in the preview section. Didn't you want to make it the default? Regards, Ingo |

I updated the download helper scripts to version 0.0.10. Now also the sources for the bzip2, zlib, jpeg and mng libraries are downloaded. Only the first is currently used for the installer update wizard. The latter are required for the next changes and will be used for the new mng-ogg streams. |

According to http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=6693&group_id=1 this isn't possible anymore. Very bad. |

Hi, currently when doing a simple reply to a mailing list message, the mail is sent only to the author of the original message and not the list. Instead one has to do a reply-to-all. I don't like this behaviour and if nobody convinces me of the opposite I will change the reply-to-mode to send replies directly to the list. Regards, Ingo |

I see the problem. I should have tested this more thoroughly. Apparently I forgot to add the Login.bat script. It is now in the new helper 0.0.9. Btw. the scripts theirselves are in the ZoranNT CVS, but they are not downloaded. You can download/view them from here: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/zorannt/Build/ > 2. I can't get the Vorbis CVS to compile. I'm using DJGPP. Do I need VC6, > or perhaps some externally-had Include files, or am I just an idiot? Will > the MXW source be that hard to compile? First of all you need VC6. I already have removed the MFC and ATL stuff and I'm now replacing the DirectShow base classes with my own. When this is done there is no Microsoft dependency in the code anymore and it should be possible to compile the whole thing with GJGPP, MinGW, POSIX over Win32 or Cygwin. However makefiles have to be written for this and some code has to be changed, because of the more strict GCC. Any volunteers for this? Regarding the Vorbis CVS: The Win32 build files are broken (in the Xiph repository, not in the MediaXW one). Thats why I'm using my own project files in Src/Ext/Vorbis. (While I'm thinking about it, Src/Ext/Xiph would be a better directory name). The Src/MediaXW/Src/MediaXW.dsw already loads those projects and contains the dependencies. So please try the new scripts, downloadable here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mediaxw/DownloadSourceHelper-0.0.9.zip Regards, Ingo |

Hey all. Two questions. 1. I can't get the Download Source Helpers to work. Where should I get a CVS proggie compatible with the syntax used in those helpers? I'm currently using the cvs.exe that comes with WinCVS 1.2. And there's no login.bat - is this supposed to be part of the helper scripts, or a part of the correct CVS program? 2. I can't get the Vorbis CVS to compile. I'm using DJGPP. Do I need VC6, or perhaps some externally-had Include files, or am I just an idiot? Will the MXW source be that hard to compile? Thanks! Hi, is it only I or do you also see no news on the Media XW project home page at http://mediaxw.sf.net/ It looks like there is only a blank page. Besides that, the sources are now in the CVS. Some helper scripts are available for downloading, which should aid in retrieving all neccessary files. The Visual C++ project files are not yet adjusted. I will do that tomorrow. Regards, Ingo |

The zipped msi installed like clockwork. Now only to iron out bugs in the program. Alan -----Original Message----- From: med...@li... [mailto:med...@li...] On Behalf Of Ingo Ralf Blum Sent: Sunday, 23 September 2001 1:34 AM To: Media XW Devel Mailingl. Subject: [MediaXW-Devel] Uploaded ZIP File Hi Alan, I uploaded a zipped msi file to http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mediaxw/ Can you please try to install it. If it does not work, please install with logging and send me the log (directly to my email): You can install with loggin enabled with the following commandline: msiexec /L*v YourLogFile.txt /i MediaXW-0.0.6.msi Usually you can switch logging on in the self extractor, but since that doesn't work on your computer, it has to be done by hand. Hi Steven, > It went something like this: > > The option to use full, reduced, or no UI when used in conjunction with the > option to "hide dialog at end" passes incorrect parameters to the MSI > Installer program, I believe. An error message comes up with the words > "Incorrect command line parameters." followed by version info. Ahh, yes. It is a non-implemented feature. Only the installer 2.0 and above have some of these options. I wanted to deactivate the checkboxes, when an older installer is installed (or is updated by the wizard) but haven't done so. In the future I will use the msi library itself, which simply ignores unknown flags. > The "..." button on the log page does not bring up a browse dialog until a > filename is entered. I will check this. Regards, Ingo |

Read and respond to this message at: http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=235978 By: ingoralfblum Hi Steven, the best is to use the mailinglist instead of this forum. The reason is that one can respond simply by replying a message instead of logging in here and using the HTML form. I've now configured this forum to send all messages to the mailing list (med...@li...). So the best idea is to subscribe to the mailing list and use that instead of the forum. What do you mean with "trips up the installer". I can't reproduce the problem. Can you please tell me what exactly you specified on the log wizard page. (I assume you meant the log page in the sfx wizard). Thanks, Ingo ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
