After downloading the mediaMW and installing it, I noticed that my MP3 audio files would not delete.
I noticed this when I copied a song from it's folder to the desktop and when I was finished with it, I tried to delete it. I got the 'error' message that there was a shareing violation and that the file could not be deleted.
I tried using the process viewer to shut off all non-vital programs, but the error persisted. I even booted up in safe mode, but that did not work either. Finally, in safe mode with command prompt, I was able to "DEL *.MP3" at the files location and it did delete.
Back in regular mode, I went to the mp3 folder and tried to delete a random mp3 file and I got the error again. I right clicked on the file and choose WinAmp to open it. I then got this: "file has no program associated with it".
I uninstalled the MediaMW program (it was the last thing installed) and the files deleted without problem.
Now, I keep getting a 'Windows installer" pop up at regular times. This MSI installer tries to install MediaMW on it's own but it never is able to complete.
What is happening?? Where did I go wrong??
HELP !!
