Hi,
it will be fine, if mediatomb will support playlists
for dsm 320 in m3u- or pls-format.

The playlists I create with kaffeine in that formats,
dsm 320 could not open. It said, the format is not
supported.

I actually had some thoughts about it. The idea is that you
add playlist items and the server generates playlists on the
fly - because only the server knows the object ID's.

An other option is to use a control point, similar to Intel
    AV Media Controller or Cidero.

Let's see, I'll put it on the list, but don't expect it soon :>

    Greetings,
    Jin

We are currently doing some work on this; we will extend the import script functionality so, that parsing of any kind of ASCII based playlist should become possible. The feature will hopefully appear in the next release :>

It would be nice if you would support playlists with both "/" and "\" in the path names for those of us that create playlists on a Windows machine and copy them (with all the MP3s) to a Linux UPnP server.

Playlist parsing will be done via a dedicated js script, that means that the user will be able to adapt the script to parse any kind of ASCII based playlist. So treating "/" and "\" should not be a problem.

Btw we almost finished this feature, so it will definetely appear in the next release.

Playlists can now be parsed and will be expanded in containers in the content directory.
