I am trying to use a transcoding with with VLC for Mediatomb with partial success: it plays for a minute or so and it stops.

The source is mimetype audio/x-ms-asf and the target is audio/mpeg.

- VLC alone plays the stream fine.
- Mediatomb and MP101 work OK with plain mp3 files

1. Created Mediatomb container:
URL: mmsh://
Protocol: http-get
Class: object.item.audioitem
Mimetype: audio/x-ms-asf

2. Set up a profile in /etc/mediatomb/config.xml

  <transcoding enabled="yes">
      <transcode mimetype="audio/x-ms-asf" using="vlcmpeg"/>
      <profile name="vlcmpeg" enabled="yes" type="external">
        <agent command="vlc" arguments="%in --sout #transcode{venc=ffmpeg,vcodec=mp2v,vb=4096,fps=25,aenc=ffmpeg,acodec=mpga,ab=192,samplerate=44100,channels=2}:standard{access=file,mux=ps,dst=%out} vlc:quit"/>
        <buffer size="600000" chunk-size="10000" fill-size="32000"/>

3. In order to troubleshoot I attempted to log the transcoder output using -vvv -extraintf and -logfile parameters passed to cvlc (Console VLC player)

        <agent command="cvlc" arguments="%in -vvv --extraintf logger --logfile /var/lib/mediatomb/myvlc.log --sout #transcode{venc=ffmpeg,vcodec=mp2v,vb=4096,fps=25,aenc=ffmpeg,acodec=mpga,ab=192,samplerate=44100,channels=2}:standard{access=file,mux=ps,dst=%out} vlc:quit"/>

As a result I can see buffering completing and the MP101 starts playing.
Then suddently the sound stops and the log several seconds later shows "signals error: Caught Terminated signal, exiting…" :

main debug: Buffering 79%
main debug: Buffering 86%
main debug: Buffering 93%
main debug: Buffering 99%
main debug: Stream buffering done (6072 ms in 6815 ms)
main debug: Decoder buffering done in 0 ms
stream_out_transcode debug: drift is too high, resetting master sync
signals error: Caught Terminated signal, exiting...
main debug: deactivating the playlist
main debug: Deactivate
main debug: incoming request - stopping current input

Does anyone have any hints how to troubleshoot this?
Any guess what may be going on?

MediaTomb: v.0.12.1
VLC: v.1.1.9
OS: Ubuntu 11.04 (2.6.38-11) on AMD Phenom II 4 cores, 4GB RAM
Media player: Netgear MP101 - Client Version 1.3.7 (on wired network connection)

I appreciate any help.
