I use mediatomb 0.12.0~svn2018-6.1 with debian squeeze. As I want to have my mp3s sorted as lowercase artist->album only, I have changed the import script as follows.

    chain = new Array('Audio', artist.toLowerCase() , album);
    obj.title = track + title;
    addCdsObject(obj, createContainerChain(chain), UPNP_CLASS_CONTAINER_MUSIC_ALBUM);

This works in principle, but all artists containing in umlaut are skipped. As I have

   <import hidden-files="no">
    <filesystem-charset>UTF-8</filesystem-charset>
    <metadata-charset>UTF-8</metadata-charset>
    <playlist-charset>UTF-8</playlist-charset>
    <scripting script-charset="UTF-8">

in /etc/mediatomb/config.xml and Umlauts work, if I dont use tolowercase, I am wondering what goes wrong here. Seems to me, that call of toLowerCase() uses the wrong encoding. Where can I set it?
