I have some NEF files and I'm able to use mediatomb to extract the jpeg and display it on my tablet.
However, my Samsung TV seems to care about the file extension and won't display files with a .NEF extension. I determined this by manually running a .NEF through my dcraw script and saving it as a .jpg at loading it back into mediatomb at which point it worked perfectly.
Is there an easy way to get mediatomb to rename files? I tried manipulating the $out file but that doesn't seem to work.
