Is it possible to use different charsets for different mediatypes or paths?
ERROR: iconv: Incomplete multibyte sequence

INFO: Setting metadata import charset to UTF-16
INFO: Setting playlist charset to UTF-8
I lost my 1st posting, because it was treated as spam, but it was not. I want to add the following:
The problem exists because ID3 v2.3 tags do not support UTF-8, but UTF-16 and ID3 v2.4 is not supported my Symbian-phones. While the metadata of the photos use as charset UTF-8.
Maybe there could be set a priority in mediatomb, fi the file itself contains a charset information like in a photo:
[IPTC] 0x005a Coded Character Set : UTF8
Similar it could be with mp3. The ID3-version can be queried, so if it is v2.3 for example, it must be ISO 8859-1 or UTF-16. So if ISO 8859-1 leads to an error, UTF-16 should be tried.
