First off, thanks to everyone who has worked hard to make MediaTomb such a great media server.

As the title says, this is ALL new to me and I've been at it about two weeks.  I have made some good progress but I would like to see if I can get some help and advice with a few issues.

Here's my setup:

-Pogo Linux server w/16 hot-swappable hard drive bays
-2 x 3.2 GHz Dual Core Xeon processors
-8 Gb registered ram
-Dual Gigabit ethernet ports (configured to static IPs, 1 for mediatomb, 1 for Samba file sharing & everthing else)
-Ubuntu Server 11.10 64 bit
-MediaTomb version 0.12.1
-128 Gb WD Blue SSHD for OS
-3 x 2 TB WD Green drives for media and file server storage
-Cisco Catalyst 3500 Series XL 48port Switch
Linksys/Cisco WRT310N Wireless N router (configured as DHCP server with IP reservations for all home devices)

Here are the devices that I am trying to stream/transcode to in order of priority:
-Samsung UN60D8000 TV -Wired
-Samsung BD-C6900 & BD-D5500 Blu-Ray Players -Wired
-iPod Touch (1st & 2nd gen) & iPhone 4 -Obviously WiFi
-Denon DTR 50.3 Receiver -Wired

So far, I am able to stream to everthing but the Denon receiver (no big deal) with a few exceptions.  My daughter's 1st gen iPod doesn't seem to be capable of streaming at all, but I haven't put a lot of effort into it either.  I can stream simultaneously to my iPhone, my wifes iPhone, and my son's iPod, but only if I'm in the same room as the wireless router even though when I'm upstairs, the signal only drops down to 2 bars.  The video will continue to try to play, but it will hang and stutter to the point of it being useless.  The TV is working pretty much flawless.  The only thing it hasn't played is a couple of .avi's, but my dvd rips look pretty good, and I'm getting dolby digital 5.1 on them as well.  The Blu-Ray players work pretty much the same as the TV does without any major issues.  However, the TV and the Blu-Ray players can't seem to find MediaTomb unless I restart Mediatomb on the server, where my iPhone can find it as soon as the server has booted up.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to resolve any of these issues?  Also, I am looking for recommendations on what to do with my ripped dvd's.  Currently they are simply ripped straight from the disc (main movie only) and as a result, I have multiple *.VOB files.  I would prefer to keep full functionality (ie. subtitles, menus, etc) but I understand that is probably not going to be the case.  I have considered combining all of the .VOB files into one, but I haven't tried to see if that messes up the menus or not.  I would assume you could rebuild the .ifo as well.

Here is my current config file.
