There does not seem to be any new development for Mediatomb. Are the developers still around? On hiatus?

I ask because the Fedora package is being orphaned and I was going to take ownership of it if Mediatomb still had maintenance going on.

Well, not completely dead but suspended for the moment (the moment goes on for two years now). We simply have no time to take care of the project, we do want to clean up some things and at least apply some patches, but so far real life was in the way, sorry.

  • Glad to hear that Mediatomb is "hibernating", but not dead. :)

I've been able to get MT to compile using the clang compiler on FreeBSD (which is included with FreeBSD 9 and will be the default compiler on FreeBSD 10 or higher). Should I just submit the patches to sourceforge?

Has anyone got any patches to get it to compile with gcc-4.7?

    arh-reed,

You can find a patch from the Gentoo mediatomb package.

    Thanks, that worked fine.

When I point it to any one of the avformat libraries and includes, it says it can't be used or it's not there. What is it looking for exactly?
