I searched but couldnt find anything that helped.
I installed MT on my linksys nslu2 and stream HD content to my ps3. My video library is growing and need to get some more hdd's, my question is does the rpm of the hdd matter? I know the bottleneck of the connection is the usb 2.0 so can I use 5400rpm hdd's or stick with 7200rpm drives. Just dont know if I will notice any lag or stutter in the stream.
I'm sure it does not matter when it comes to playing media, you may see a difference when copying files on the harddrive, I do not know if you will see a difference when importing media into MTs database, but playback bandwidth is low compared to the speeds that those drives can handle.
