#1 Rescan failed (interface=1)

Hi there. i just downloaded SoundServer 4.0.0.1 and the 4.0.0.2
update. Both installed successfully and look great. i can play
tracks from a CD fine but when i attempt to start the ripper i get the
following error:

"Rescan failed (interface=1)"

i'm
running on Win XP Professional. i have tried changing the CD
Interface option in the Options dialogue, to no avail. i get different
errors:

"Error on initializing ripping process
(interface=0)"
"Error on initializing ripping process
(interface=2)"

but no luck ripping. Any suggestions would
be
appreciated.
