#422 Mediainfo Duration HH:MM:SS:FF

Anil Tanwade

Mediainfo Duration HH:MM:SS:FF format for MXF, GXF, MOV, LXF, SAF professional media. Include in XML.

  • Mediainfo Duration HH:MM:SS:FF

I don't really like ":FF" for durations, especially with US frame rates (how should I do if I have 29.97 frame rate information? Should ":FF" be computed with or without drop frame? Time code track is a stand alone track, it can not be used for duration of the video stream), ":FF" is usually used for time code, but you are not the first one to ask for it with durations.
There is some study to do in order to provide something coherent.

What is SAF? I don't know this format

Warning: non-paid feature request are set to low priority, I don't know when I have time to handle it.

  • Added HH:MM:SS:FF format, but hidden by default (Debug -> Advanced menu, then text view). Need to find a way to offer choice to end user.
